Who we are
The XP Summit is a community of executive and operations pastors from across the country. While these roles may have various job titles, we consider XPs to be those second chair leaders who ensure that the church is logistically positioned to accomplish its mission.
Every year, we host The XP Summit gathering. It’s unique in that it’s organized FOR XP’s and BY XP’s. It features small group/huddle interactions with peers to discuss the best practices on subjects like staffing, programming, finances, and multi-site strategy.
Connections. Content. Conversations.
XP Summit is unique in that it’s not just designed to provide cutting-edge information to XP’s. We devote significant time at the gathering to help you build connections with leaders from around the country. In this way, you walk away not only with a notebook of ideas, but also with contact information of numerous fellow pastors who understand the journey you’re on.
A note from
the Executive Director
“In ministry, everyone will face adversity and other challenges along the way. Unfortunately, over the last few years, many have called it quits because they feel alone. We don’t want you to do ministry alone. We want others to join you on the journey.
XPS is a multi-day event for Executive Pastors by Executive Pastors. More than just another conference, we want to create a space for ministry conversations and community to help you go the distance.
We hope you will join us in Nashville.”

XPS is designed for executive and operations pastors. Due to the emerging nature of church staffing, pastors who fill these roles may have various job titles. Ultimately, we consider XPs to be second chair leaders who oversee teams, making sure that the church is logistically positioned to accomplish its mission.

While attendees pay a registration fee, our sponsorship partners cover the largest portion of expenses to keep the cost managable for pastors. Any overages from the annual gathering help to fund the following year’s expenses.

CDF Capital has been the primary sponsor of XP Summit since its inception and is proud to continue this partnership today. CDF provides financial coverage for initial conference expenses as well as logistical management before, during, and after the event.
